EBA LANGUAGE COURSE 2014: SURVIVAL JAPANESE

EBA Consortium is now calling for participants in EBA online Language Course 2014- Survival Japanese.

Course Description: The course is open not only for foreign students who are coming to Japan to join EBA fieldwork activities but also for students who are interested in Japanese language and culture. The purpose of the course is to provide students with Japanese preliminary level including useful expressions for daily activities (e.g. eating out, shopping, asking for directions among others). Students are expected to be able to communicate comfortably with local Japanese by using these expressions towards the end of the course.

Time: 2014, June 3~ July 18. From 18:00 ~ 19:30 JST (UTC + 9) every Tuesday and Friday.

Instructor: Kuniko Matsumoto (EBA Project Research Associate, Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University)

Number of classes: 14

Capacity: 4 students from each partner university.  (If the number of students who wish to attend the course from each university exceeds 4, please inform and consult with EBA staff in advance)

Course Participation Conditions: Students must be from one of the EBA partner universities and his/her Japanese level is at beginner level. For those students who are already selected for fieldwork activities in Japan, participation in the course is compulsory.

Course Completion Conditions: students are required to attend at least 10 out of 14 classes.
Note that if you cannot the attend the class, please visit “EBA Japanese Survival Course at Keio SFC” on Edmodo (at https://edmo.do/j/i9e5zu) before the next lesson in order to obtain necessary materials distributed from the last lesson.
