Data Management & Energy Fieldwork 2016
We are now calling for participants in Big Data Business Fieldwork scheduled in October 10-19, 2016 in Tokyo, Japan.
- About the fieldwork
Data Management and Energy Fieldwork aims to introduce students how big data collection, analysis, and visualization is applied in real business world. Moreover, students will have a rare opportunity to interact with Japanese company representatives, professors and researchers who actively create innovation in Telecommunication infrastructure and Energy Management Industry, as balancing demand and supply of energy is now a global issue, and waiting to be solved.
During 10-day in Japan, students will have intensive lectures, workshops, and hands-on experience related to “Big Data Management”, “Telecommunication infrastructure” and “Energy Management”.
Expected outcomes: Business plan, solutions, and/or application prototype.
Location: Keio University (Shonan Fujisawa Campus, Hiyoshi Campus), and companies in Tokyo and Kanagawa area, JAPAN
Time: October 10-19, 2016
Language requirement: English and Japanese (No experience in Japanese language is acceptable.)
Targets: up to 10 students (both undergraduate and graduate students from EBA partner universities and from Keio University.)
Selection process:
Both undergraduates and graduate students (who are able to communicate in English) are eligible for the program. All you have to do is:
Fill out APPLICATION FORM (from: EBA_EnergyFW_Application_2016) in English and save file as “EBA2016_EnergyFW_Application_Your Name”.

*Please note that students pay your own travel expenses(the fee of transportation and accommodation: to be decided.)- The deadline is 23:59 JST, Oct 9th 2016.
- Questions in page 3 and 4 of application form can be answered in English or Japanese.
- Announcement of successful candidates will be by Oct 11th, 2016.
- For ASEAN students,
- Please note that we do not accept application from individual students without the acknowledgement of their school.
- Submit application form with resume and academic transcript to EBA local coordinator

- Second-round selection
- Online interview by EBA Japan organizer
- Date: during August 11th-15th 2016
- Final selection results by August 16th 2016
